You can RP like Afro American, Mexican, or something like that.
But, you can't roleplay as Superman, Famous Singer, because its not really realistic.

What is Powergaming?
Powergaming its when you are using force, that you don't have in the real life.
For example, Police Officer stopped you for normal test, and you are driving in car, but not yours.
So you are doing something like that

That's Powergaming.
If you are driving in car, but you aren't the owner, you will go to arrest, DONT ESCAPE, because it will be Powergame too, because in the real life you will not do that.

What is metagaming?
Metagaming it's when you are RPing with someone, or you saw him on the street, and then you are calling his name, without he told you, because you saw above his head.
Example for metagaming:
Me :Alright, thanks X!
him:((How you know my name ICly?I didn't told you it.))
Thats metagaming.
If you want to call his name, just ask him ICly what is it.
Don't say something like that
"Hey Dude What's Your Name"
Say something like that:
"Alright, thanks."
"Oh wait, I forgot, can I ask what's your name, please?"
Then it will NOT be metagame.
